Many companies understand the principle of continuous improvement. The management actively, sometimes passively, stimulates and motivates their staff to apply that principle targeting operational excellence. However while doing so they often experience the “law of diminishing returns”: it takes an exponentially increasing effort to achieve the next level of improvement (see below figure).

The professionals from Mieloo & Alexander are experiencing that most people act from what they know from their own experience, and thus their improvement efforts are usually more of what was done before. A stimulus from outside can help to bring in new ideas and/ or methods into the organisation. The professionals from Mieloo & Alexander can be that stimulus and thus help the people to go for the next step towards operational excellence.
The professionals served several national and multinational clients to improve their operational output, both qualitative as well as quantitative.
Some examples of expertise that can be provided:
- Initiating and managing improvement activities
- Training and coaching of individuals
- Creation of performance indicators
- Applying continious improvement methods
The professionals from Mieloo &Alexander are equipped with a basic principle: transfer the knowledge so that the people and the organisation become self sufficient. So the end result will be to have made steps towards operational excellence but more importantly to have given people the tools to do it by themselves the next time around.
Approach
Usually, after the first contact between client and Mieloo & Alexander, one of the consultants visits the client and discusses the exact need. After that, the consultant will write a proposal which contains the scope, planned activities, deliverables, and conditions for success, cost etc. and submits to client for approval. Upon approval, the consultant will start with the execution.
