The technical activities we perform have two possible drivers:

New technologies in our service portfolio:
RFID-technology. Introduction of RFID/EPC™ will lead to new concepts being introduced in the ERP-solutions of companies. Not only does it involve a fairly extensive set of hardware, connected to the ERP-systems, it also will lead to a spectacular increase in transaction data. As a consequence of implementing this new technology, business critical systems will become increasingly business critical.
SAP Net Weaver. Next generation "middleware" software by SAP, used for integration of all kinds of web services, and also routing of the high volume data flows resulting from RFID-solutions. Interfacing of systems will change as a result of Net Weaver. Focus will shift from a technology-driven approach to a more business driven approach.
Java. Java is becoming standard technology. With market leader SAP choosing for Java as a fully supported development language next to their proprietary ABAP-suite, Java will become the standard for business application technologies. |
