Based on our extensive experience in deploying RFID/EPC™ and RTLS solutions within the supply chain operations of our clients, the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) within Mieloo & Alexander have developed a wide range of products enabling our customers to deploy mission critical solutions on time and within budget.
The products we developed are focussed primarily on RFID portal solutions deployed in mission critical supply chain operations.
RFID deployment product overview
To allow for maximum performance, rapid deployment and optimal use of available resources, Mieloo & Alexander have developed the following products:
RFID performance enhancement tunnel
The RFID Performance Enhancement Tunnel was designed for two purposes. One is to have a measure of control over the area being scanned by RFID. The other purpose is to boost RFID readability. The design of a tunnel with reflective wall sections greatly increases RFID multi-path in the middle of the tunnel and this drastically enhances the read performance of tags in this area, as well as reduce the sensitivity of tag-to-antenna orientation.
Testing has shown a significant increase in readability performance depending on tag type and UHF readers used. The RFID Performance Enhancement Tunnel was designed and built for mission critical solutions in industrial environments.

Dock / portal RFID unit
A lot of UHF RFID applications are aimed at a dock-door or other point of passage for tagged items or pallets. To facilitate dock-door and portal solutions, Mieloo & Alexander have developed a casing-unit to house RFID antennas, readers and any additional equipment (such as a PLC, sensors, light-stacks or other). The solution consists of columns with unique modular and flexible characteristics. The materials used allow for the specific RF requirements of portal solutions. In regular warehouse environments, two of these units should be sufficient to cover a dock-door. For other applications, it is possible to use only one, or even three or four of these units.
